My name is Ray, and I am years old. I'm a regular mid-long distance runner, and an occasional cyclist. I'm a terrible swimmer, but I have done a triathlon; I exited the water after the entire heat after mine had passed me.

More relevantly, my reasons to participate in the Aids Life Cycle (ALC) 2014 has more to do with personal challenge and experience than anything else. I neither personally know anyone with HIV or AIDS, nor have I lost any friends or family to the disease. However, I am a runner and a cyclist. I run and bike everyday for the benefit of my own health, pushing new distances and taking up personal challenges, and now I'm doing it in a way that will also benefit others.

Some of you who read this already know me and know all this, and some of you don't. Whoever you are, please do consider donating to this cause and to help me reach my personal goal by clicking here, or on "Donate" in the above navigation bar. If you choose not to, please help spread the word. While the personal goal is not a requirement, every dollar funds research, psychology and counseling services, and other community services involving STD prevention and education.

Thank you for following this blog, and if anyone is interested in participating in this event themselves, please feel free to contact me or leave a comment on any post and we can get in touch.
