We were asked to bring our bikes, racks, messengers and all equipment with us, but the orientation leader may have forgotten to inspect any of it despite mentioning that if we didn't already own all this then the job is not for us.
All I care about really is getting some cycling in and getting paid for it on my own time. Next comes a 10 year background check followed by an invitation to the on-board meeting.
Here is my setup. I may need to get a front rack and trunk if I am to deliver coffee and flowers, but only after I've tried and decide to stick to this.
Just read your post....quite interesting....I wen thru first orientation today. Same here lady did not inspect the items the email said bring. However,if they go back 10 years I am probably dead...I have some major traffic issues that will probably still show up. To bad because I am a kick ass courier...."Toot,Toot the horn"
ReplyDeleteYes my friend and I had similar experiences and neither of us passed the background check. Did you all pass? We are in our 40's and I wonder if perhaps they aren't just weeding out the elderly.
